Once the client objectives are identified ACC will evaluate the carriers serving the clients area or facilities. For each carrier serving a client facilities, signal strength, signal quality and available capacity will be determined as best possible through testing and by working with carriers’ appropriate service professionals. ACC will work with the individual carriers to establish the necessary rebroadcast or interconnect agreements. If the client is a carrier installing its own DAS to supplement its network ACC will assist the carrier by negotiating any pole attachment agreements, Right of Way Agreements or land agreements that are necessary for placement of antennas, cabling, power and equipment.
ACC will work with the client to determine the three main components of the identified service providers throughout the area (ODAS) or within the facilities (DAS). Areas and facilities are surveyed and tested for propagation characteristics to determine the best placement of transmitters in the area to be served. Other design criteria will be established such as power, access to cable runs, installation challenges, access, and security.
The system design will provide the necessary specifications to allow multiple vendors or a clients specified vendor to provide solutions that will meet the client’s requirements and expectations. Detailed equipment lists, pricing, construction plans, and timetables will be created to ensure effective deployment. ACC will assist the client in evaluating responses to RFQ’s or Bids to select the vendor or vendors that will best meet the clients design, service levels and costs parameters.
